Here's how to remove the rear bumper cover.
Preliminary Work
2 – Remove front ornamental grille
RISK OF DAMAGE
Paint damage.
Mechanical action can lead to paint damage.
Mask those working areas at risk with yellow plastic adhesive tape.
Remove and install heavy or bulky components with the aid of another person/other persons.
Lever front radiator grille (1) forwards out of the latch mechanisms along the dotted line using the special tool 0 496 569 (00 9 325).
Main Work
3 – Removing front bumper panel
NOTICE
Perform the operations on the left and right side.
Loosen the expanding rivet (1).
Slightly raise the engine compartment lid and brace.
NOTICE
Perform the operations on the left and right side.
Loosen screws (1).
NOTICE
Perform the operations on the left and right side.
Loosen screws (1).
Unscrew screws (arrows) on the front bumper panel.
Loosen screws (1).
Loosen screws (1).
Loosen the front bumper panel (1) from the clamps (2) .
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Conduct the following operation with the assistance of a second person.
Slide the front bumper panel (1) out on the underbody protection and the lower front bumper panel support.
Disconnect plug connections present and remove the bumper panel (1) .
